Drainage/Electricity Underground Line and Plantations - Boon or Bane

I hope you are all aware of the significant development progress in the PWFCP2 in September 2023; among them, a few are

Apart from that, I am sure each one of you has witnessed the Drainage issue surge as a significant issue before all of us. It has been solved to a certain extent, but we must meticulously devise a successful plan to overcome such an issue, at least for the next few years. 

When we discussed with the Site office, they just advised that some base issue is solved, and for more, they need detailed planning, which may be witnessed in the upcoming time. 

At the same time, from the desk of some sound civil engineers, I have received a little gentle advice to minimize it via external monitoring. They have shared, which is expected to cooperate from our side.

The Kerbing area is for beautification and to be placed for small flowering plants instead of deep-rooted plants.

50% of each house's kerbing area covers the water and electricity underline pipelines, so over the place, it is strongly advised to drop an idea to plant deep-rooted plants to safeguard your street line owners' convenience. 

In the case of a single-house drainage choke, it's not a single-house issue; it's an issue for the whole line and carries forward to adjacent next and previous line owners, too.

Mandatorily, manage some distance from the sewage man-hole opening for any sort of plantation, as it will be frequently opened and closed for many reasons to give cleaning to drainage, so the best practice is to ensure some minimum distance.

It has been noticed in numerous houses people planted deep-rooted trees of Neem, Sapota, Mango,  Guava, Banana, and Many More, even over the sewerage lines, which is not a good practice nor a good cooperation as a good resident of PWFCP2. This looks nice for now, but as the year-by-year plant deepens the roots, it will damage your sewerage line, electricity underline pipe, and, for sure, your boundary wall if getting good space into your house underneath. Recently, some examples can be seen in PWFC Phase 01.

You must accept that in such all issues, how society will interfere and how the maintenance team at that time will stand with your views could be unpleasant for you, and taking it independently is a very, very costly affair. Let us honestly accept it is in the early stages. Find the solution now before we start fighting each other for no reason. 

PRECAUTION IS BETTER THAN CURE. In this regard, society seeks your support and cooperation; if you see any houses where a 100% kerbing area has a deep-rooted tree plantation or plantation over the Sewerage/electricity underline pipeline, please bring them to our notice. We will place their pictures on the blog and request them to do what is needed for a better and educated society forum.


Make Sure 50% of the area of the total curbing area you may place small-scale plants, but 100% of the kerbing area site must be utilized for a deep-rooted plantation.  Remember, today, we may feel it's a tiny problem, but before it becomes giant, let us eradicate and control it in better form.

If you see your neighbor's owners flouting the norms, please share the blog information on the future hurdles due to today's action, and very politely try to get it sorted out before it reaches the society forum.

At the same time, I request you to send some pictures of your neighbor's plantations that are using deep-rooted plants. We will place them in our blog and ensure at the society forum request to cooperate with society's advice.

Thanksgiving Note - Mission Bhagiratha Contributors till 05-08-2023

Thanksgiving Note Mission Bhagiratha is a Very Important project for Hyderabad, Telangana State. In order to bring this facility based on the GBM discussion, our society invited house owners to give contributions of 20000 INR to the society account. A full and final amount against each house shall be fixed upon final estimates. Initially, for HDD work, we jointly proceed with prajay waterfront city phase 01, and for that, we need approx 5L to pay the contractor.
